GP Singapore Judge Conference

Hi all,

We will be running a Judge Conference together with GP Singapore but things will be slightly different for this conference. Firstly, there are two dates for this conference:

1. Friday, 11-Jan-13

2. Sunday, 13-Jan-13

This is because we aren't able to run the conference on a separate day from the GP due to venue cost considerations. Instead, we'll be running it at the GP venue itself. The conference schedule and topics will be the same for both days, so when applying for the conference please select the day which you'll be attending. If you are working at the GP, you'll obviously have to select the day which you aren't scheduled to be working.

Tentatively the conference schedule will be something like this:

:00am - Judges to gather at the venue for main judge meeting with Riccardo and Friday staff

9:30am - Seminar 1 - Philip Pena - Customer Service

10:30am - Seminar 2 - Khanh Le Thien - Game Rule Violations

11:30am - Break

12:00pm - Seminar 3 - John Tong - Judges as Pillars of the Community

1:00pm - Lunch break

2:00pm - Seminar 4 - Alex Kuan - Improve by Teaching

3:00pm - Seminar 5 - Aaron Hamer - Investigations

4:00pm - Break

4:30pm - Seminar 6 - Sean Roffey - ‘The Judge Program Needs You!’

5:30pm - Q & A session, open discussion

6:00pm - End

We are also looking for people to present seminars for this conference. If you are interested, please indicate when applying and we'll be in touch with you. Seminar presenters will receive a token of appreciation for their contribution. Do note that because the seminar happens on Friday & Sunday, you will have to present twice. We will make arrangements to take you off the floor for an hour to do the presentation on the day that you are judging. An alternative is to collaborate with another person on a different work schedule to prepare the presentation, and each of you present on the day that you aren't working.
