Grand Prix Salt Lake City 2014

On behalf of Cascade Games and Channel Fireball, I want to thank you for your interest in working at Grand Prix Salt Lake City 2014! The dates for this event are September 5-7, 2014. Please note the following:

• All applicants will be required to complete tax information.
• Applications will be processed on a rolling basis. Applicants will be processed in 2 or 3 waves with the final wave processed after the application deadline closes on July 24th.

Expectations



Please be reminded that judging a GP is a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of work. You get to see a bunch of old friends and you'll hopefully make a few new ones - but you'll also take judge calls, give rulings, take registration, pick up trash, count lists, push in chairs, prepare product, pick up trash, move tables, push in chairs, deploy tablecloths, pick up trash, fold tablecloths, push in chairs, stay up late, pick up trash, help the artists, push in chairs, help with breakdown, and pick up trash!

Please indicate in your application if you are available to work Friday. There will be multiple shifts, so indicate your hours of availability. 

All judges staffed for Sunday are expected to be available to work until 8pm. If you must leave early, your compensation may be reduced. Please contact the Staff Manager as soon as you know about a possible conflict.

The application window will close on Friday, July 24th.

Tangible Benefits For You

Foils - Wizards of the Coast will give a selection of DCI foils to all certified judges assigned to judging shifts. Judge shirts will available to certified judges on staff who need them.



Product - Judges will receive a box of product per day worked. Level 3+ judges will receive an additional half box per day worked. This product will be from a recent Magic set.

Food & room – Cascade Games will provide a stipend to all staff members of $80 per day worked for food and lodging. All staff members will be required to complete tax information for Cascade Games before starting their shift.

Hotel

We have secured a discounted room block at the Hyatt House Sandy.  This is the closest hotel to the South Towne Expo Center and they will be running a shuttle throughout the day, going to and from the Expo Center.  See the attached flyer below and book your room today!
