Ohio Judge confrence

Greetings, Great Lakes Judges and fellow friends!!

I am proud to announce the first judge conference in Northeast Ohio.

Here are some details for you:

When: Saturday, October 4th

Time: 12pm - 5pm

Where: Better Plays Gaming, 4958 Darrow Rd, Stow, OH 44224-1406

Food and Drinks: Pizza, chips and drinks will be provided! If you have any dietary restrictions please add that into your application and I will see what I can do. Also feel free to bring any snacks you wish to share!

Schedule: 12pm open and introductions and start presentations, 2pm lunch break, 3pm start mock tournament (format tbd please let me know if you would like to volunteer as a player or mentor), 5pm end and commander/draft or chatting!

Intended Audience: This conference will be primarily designed and developed for Judge Candidates and Level 1 Judges.  Multiple individuals from the northeast Ohio region, have become interested in judging and hosting a gathering seemed very appropriate.  However, the content and information at this conference will be relevant and transferable to any judge, regardless of level. As well as wherever you are from!

What does the conference still need to be successful?

1, Tester/Advancement Review Writer: An L2 and L3+. These certified Judge Foundry Judges will help test, interview, and write advancement reviews for Judge Candidates at the conference (Seeking 2 Judges).  This position may be entitled to a Travel Sponsorship.  If interested, please apply for the conference and contact me through either Discord or email! 

2. Presenter: These individuals will be responsible for presenting information, performing workshops, and/or collaborating with the conference attendees to help them learn and practice new skills.  The major themes of the conference will be helping level 1, 2 and aspiring judges understand competitive REL better, understand payment for events and how to discuss these topics with your local store, how to sound and be confident with rulings, as well as applying for larger events if they haven’t done this before

3. Attendees: These individuals will be responsible for attending and engaging in the conference!  Without you, the conference would not be possible!  To attend the conference, please apply here on JudgeApps!!  We look forward to seeing and engaging with you at the conference!!
