Star City Games Premier IQ

On behalf of Learn 2 Play Games, allow me to thank you for your interest in judging at the Starcity Games Premier IQ. Below, you will find all the information you need in order to apply.

What We Expect

Judges at this event are expected to be professional, punctual, and current on all relevant rules and policies. This includes familiarity with the Comprehensive Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Magic Tournament Rules. As representatives of Learn 2 Play Games and the Magic Judge program, judges are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times.

Judges will be expected to adhere to the dress code of an official Magic Judge shirt, black pants, black belt, and comfortable black shoes. If you do not have a judge shirt you may wear the Florida Judge polo.

Applicants of all levels are welcome to apply, please be aware that this is a competitive event and while experience will be gained it is quite a bit of work.

Judges are also expected to be on time.  Call time for this event will be 7:30 AM. 

Judges are expected to work until the conclusion of the event.  If you are unable to do so then your comp may be adjusted accordingly.

What You Can Expect

Judges can expect the following compensation:

Level 1 judges-36 packs of any in-stock standard set

Level 2 judges- 72 packs of any in-stock standard set

Level 3 judges- 108 packs of any in-stock standard set.

Boxes may be exchanged for store credit at the rate of 90$ per box.

Additionally lunch will be provided.

That being said, this event will be great!  We want players to come away talking about how much fun they had and how they can't wait for the next L2P event.  We need you to help make this happen!  Oh, and of course judge dinner will be had.

ADDITION:

Following the premier IQ we will be having two events on Sunday for which we will need a sizable staff.

Starting at 10:00 am we will be having the TCG modern state championships.  The call time for this event will be 8:30 am.  In addition there will be a Super IQ beginning at 2:00 pm.

Most of the above comments apply, including location and attire.  There is one small change, compensation.

For Sunday the compensation will be a box per level per day, capped at two boxes.
