LinCon 2026

What is LinCon?

LinCon is the yearly event hosted SvenskaMagic and Mindstage. We're crowing the best modern player and the best store in the BUM event. After two days of competition, we finally play for best store in Sweden. We're looking for judges to judge the event for the entire weekend. The head judge for the main event is Yonatan Rossberger

Thursday

• Morning 08:00 - 17:00: 1 HJ and 1 FJ
• 17:00 – closing (aprox. 24:00): 1HJ and 1FJ

Friday

• Morning 08:00 – 17:00: 1 HJ, 1 SK, 3 FJ
• Evening 17:00 – closing (aprox. 24:00): 1HJ, 1 SK, 2 FJ

Saturday

• Morning 08:00 – 19:00*: Yonatan Rossberger will be the head judge for Saturday, 1 SK and 5 FJ
• Evening 19:00* – closing 1 HJ,1 FJ

Sunday

• Sunday 08:45 – closing (aprox 15:00) 1 FJ

*End of modern SM swiss

All shifts also include an hour break for food as well as a shorter one (30 min).

Each day except Sunday also has a slot for backup judge (applies if you're on standby that day), in case a greater number of players then expected shows up.

Compensation

FJ: 900 SEK store credit at mindstage for each shift.

SK: 1100 SEK store credit at mindstage for each shift 

HJ: 1300 SEK store credit at mindstage for each shift.

Standby: Free entry to one event during the day. If activated, same as floor judge.

Expectaions

We expect all judges to come prepared and well rested to our events. The dresscode is black shirt or any official judge attire with black pants or skirt. 

Head judges are expected to work from opening until closing as well as do some preperations such as scheduling breaks and shifts before hand.

Floor judges are expected to have read up on the IPG and MTR and be updated with the most recent policy.

If this is your first big event, do not hesitate to apply and mention this in your cover letter. You can always work a single shift to try it out and see if its something you would like to do more of, we can also prepare so you feel more ready for the events. DM Anton Huang for more info.

Testing

If you plan to do the judge test for L1 or L2, please inform me in the application so I can prepare a proctor. The test is open book and are only available for SvMJ members.

Morning: European Legacy Masters, RCQ Sealed [SOS] and Choas Draft

Evening: Modern 4-Round, Store Championships (Team), Premodern

Saturday

Morning: Swedish Modern National (Main Event), High Roller Legacy and Booster Draft [LotR] 

Evening: Booster Draft [SOS], Premodern, Legacy 4-Round, Modern 4-Round

Sunday

Store Championship Teams (Top 4), Modern 4-Round, Legacy 4-Round and Premodern Bountyhunt

Judge testing

If you have plans to take a judge test, please inform me in the application, decide which day is the most appropriate for you, then we can sort it out. This is only possible for SvMJ members.
