Gothcon 2026

Gothcon is the largest event tabletop gaming event hosted each year within Gothenburg and features multiple Magic formats like Pre/Modern, European Legacy Qualifiers, Duel Commander, Team-Trios, Pioneer, and more.

The MTG event schedule is not yet published but this page will be updated once Mindstage releases that information. Information about the rest of GothCon can be found here.

Applications close on February 22nd and I will try to send out acceptance offers before the first of March so those accepted have time to book travel.

Shifts and approximate lengths

Thursday

• Evening start (aprox 17:30) – closing (aprox 24:00): 1 FJ

Friday

• Morning 08:00 – 16:00: 1 HJ, 3 FJ, 1 SK
• Evening 16:00 – closing (aprox 24:00): 1HJ, 3 FJ, 1 SK

Saturday

• Saturday morning 08:00 – 16:00: 1 HJ, 3 FJ, 1 SK
• Saturday morning FJ+ 08:00 – 17:00
• Saturday evening 16:00 – closing (approx 24:00) 1 HJ, 4 FJ, 1 SK

Sunday

• Sunday 08:45 – closing (aprox 15:00) 1 FJ

All shifts will include an hour break and a half hour long break.

Compensation

FJ: 900 SEK store credit at mindstage for each shift.

SK: 1100 SEK store credit at mindstage for each shift.

HJ: 1300 SEK store credit at mindstage for each shift.

Expectations

All staff should be prepared mentally and physically on day of their shift.

Head judges are expected to work from opening until closing including some preperation before the event.

Scorekeepers are expected to work from opening until closing. Two shifts unless otherwise noted.

All staffed judges who near the floor should have recently read the IPG and MTR.

Every level of expertise are welcome to apply. If this is one of your first big events then mention that in your cover letter.
