Event Information

Friends & Colleagues,

On behalf of Tomáš Klimeš from Najáda store, i am opening applications for WMCQ/PTQ Weekend in Prague on weekend 16.8.-17.8.

On saturday, there will be PTQ Khans of Tarkir 2014 (modern). There will also be last chance qualifier tournaments for the wmcq. {most likely 16 players single elimination flights] These flights will be also played overnight, if there is enough interested players.

The WMCQ itself is the only tournament on sunday. [standard]

I will most likely be the head judge of both tournaments. (subject to change)

Number of extra judges needed>

saturday 6

saturday spare 2

saturday night 1

sunday 6

You can apply for several key positions>

Saturday night shift (not compatible with any other shift. Not even if you are indestructible.)

PTQ Floor team lead (Free Solo venue has 3 separate rooms to cover, each will have around 50 people)

PTQ DCH TL

WMCQ Floor TL

WMCQ DCH TL

Judges will recieve CZK 100/hour if level 1, 120/hour if level 2. There will be a bit extra for the night shift judge.

You can apply as a spare judge. We would like to have one backup on saturday if players exceed 128 (they likely will) and another if they exceed 180 (they will likely not) Spare judges will play the ptq for free if not recruited.

Most judges will be released for the day by the start of TOP 8, therefore most people will have 10-11 hour shifts, generally starting by 09:00. (TBA) Each day, one or two judges will be needed for the top8. The nightshift will be something like 2300-0830 maximum.

Food will not be provided, but it will be availible at a reasonable cost (we are playing in a restaurant after all). Sleeping on-site for free is availible, but it will be in one of the tournament rooms.

Bigger tournaments split into separate rooms are always more work, and more stressful. We have extra judges for that very reason - take it as a challenge please.

Thanks,

Jara
