Grand Prix Omaha Comic Con - Teams/cEDH Dual Event

Event Details:

JC Hobby is hosting Grand Prix Omaha Comic Con at Omaha Comic Con on Saturday, July 18th at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs.

There will be two main events: a Standard/Pioneer/Modern Non-Unified Team Trios $1.5k event and a Proxy Friendly cEDH with a $750 prize pool for the top cut.

The event will also feature On Demand events including constructed Win-a-Box, drafts, EDH/cEDH pods, and a second chance Standard singles tournament (second chance event pending.)

Additional details about events will be added as they become available.

Staffing:

We are looking for:

• 1 Head Judge - $400 (This person will be the head judge of both events.)
• 1 Floor Judge/Team Lead - $250/$300 (This person will be promoted to Team Lead at 85 total players.)
• 2 Standby Floor Judges - $225 (The first standby judge will be activated at over 61 total players, the second will be activated at 85 total players.)

Standby judges will be notified by Thursday, July 16th if they are needed and will receive a complimentary day pass to Omaha Comic Con if they are not activated.

Jordan will be on-staff as the Scorekeeper for the events.

Applications will be reviewed weekly with initial offers going out on June 15th.

Event Times and Dress Code:

Call time for judges is 9 AM.  The cEDH event will begin at 9:45 AM.  The Teams event will begin at 10:15 AM.  All events must be wrapped by midnight at the latest.

The head judge and Jordan will remain until all events are complete.  The team lead/floor judges will be cut as allowable.

Dress code is black slacks with a plain black polo or button down shirt.  You may also wear any previous or current Judge program polo.  Any neutral colored shoes are acceptable.
