Judges - come be a part of ApexCon!

Apex Gaming events are Ohio's premiere competitive MTG tournaments, and are a great way for judges to get experience with multi-judge events and Competitive Rules Enforcement Level.

Expectations:

Head Judges will give final rulings, keep the main event on track, ensure side events launch successfully, and mentor the other judges on staff.

Floor Judges will launch side events, perform deckchecks, watch coverage, and perform other floor judge tasks as directed.

All judges should be familiar with all official MTG documents.

Compensation:

Head Judge: $300 per day

Floor Judge: $250 per day

Standby: Standby judges will either play for free or be staffed as floor judges, depending on attendance.

Hours:

Shifts are expected to be approximately 9 hours, but will be somewhat variable to the needs of the event.
Call time every day is 10:15 am. Floor Judges are expected to be released when the main event moves to Top8 or Top4.

Dress Code:

Judges are expected to represent themselves, their fellow judges, and ApexCon as professionals. Shoes and bottoms should be comfortable for working in for a day and predominantly black. Shirts can be from any judging org, past or present, or a black button-up or polo.

Free Food!

All judges will receive free snacks, lunch, and drinks while working.
