Grand Prix Stockholm 2014

This event will be held on between the 24th and 26th October  2014. The format is Standard. Please read the below information carefully and click on the above link to apply. 

There are three types of sponsorship that you can apply for: Standby, Volunteer, and Room.  When applying, please indicate ALL types of sponsorship you are willing to accept.

Your application is for a minimum of Saturday and Sunday, although you may also apply for Friday if you wish. All applicants must be available to work until at least 20:00 on Sunday.

If you apply for Friday, you need to be available from 11:00am, so please make sure you are able to be on site at that time.

If selected, you will need to sign a contract with Gordian Knot Games in order to work at this event.  If you have signed this contract before then it is not necessary to sign a second one.  The contract lays out the terms of your work under UK law and is a necessary part of being selected.  A copy of the contract is available for download below. You will need to add your personal details to this form (at the beginning and end) and then sign and return the form to glen@gordianknotgames.co.uk. If you have no way to scan the form, please bring the signed form along to the event.

If selected for room sponsorship, your hotel room will be paid from Friday night to Monday morning. If you wish to stay longer, you will have to make the arrangements yourself. You will share the room with another judge (unfortunately we can't accommodate staying with a spouse/friend, etc.).

Additional room costs, food, taxis, etc. will not be paid for, but you will receive a food allowance each day you work.

You have a better chance of being accepted if you speak Swedish and are an active L2+ in your community. All applicants must speak sufficient English to operate in a tournament setting.

Please bring appropriate judging attire, including a black judge shirt and black trousers with belt. If you do not have a shirt, please let us know so one can be provided for you.

Standby judges:

If you're selected as a Standby judge, you will be expected to come and play the event for free. However, if attendance is higher than expected, you will be contacted on site to come and judge. This could happen at any given point during the weekend (Friday, Saturday or even Sunday). More information about the Standby Judge system will be provided if requested.

Compensation

Compensation depends on your level and the amount of days you work. Compensation will be settled when the GP top 8 has started, and is given in English product of the current set at that time (which will be Khans of Tarkir). Please make sure have sufficient space to take all of your product home with you when packing! Compensation rates are as follows:

Floor Judge L1 - 1 display per full day worked

Floor Judge L2 - 1.5 display per full day worked

Floor Judge L3+ - 2 display per full day worked

In addition to displays, judges will receive a package of judge foils (based on your level). Judges performing special roles within the event may receive extra product.
