Star City Games Premier IQ

Uncle's Games is hosting the Pacific Northwest's first Star City Games Premier IQ!  For information regarding Premier IQs, please read here.

This SCG Premier IQ will be held at the Tacoma Event Center on Saturday, September 27th.  We are expecting around 200 players and would like to have a staff of 9 to 11 judges.  The event will start promptly at 10:00am and we expect all judges to be on the floor, ready to work at 8:30am.  Judges are expected to work through the entire swiss portion of the event, with 1 or 2 judges staying for the Top 8.

In addition to the main event, Uncle's Games will be hosting a few side events including: Legacy, Sealed and continuous 8-player drafts.

Judges at this event are expected to be professional, punctual, and current on all relevant rules and policies. This includes familiarity with the Comprehensive Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Magic Tournament Rules.  Judges are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times.  Judges will be expected to adhere to the dress code of an official Magic Judge shirt, black bottoms (pants, skirt, etc), black belt, and comfortable black shoes. If you do not have a judge shirt you may wear a black button-down shirt.  Contact me (Ronald) if you do not have a shirt, I may have an extra in your size.

Important judge related information:

• Compensation is 1 box of Khans of Tarkir per judge.
• Each judge will receive a $20 per diem for food and snacks.
• Uncle's Games is providing bottled water and granola bars for breaks.

I encourage all levels of judges to apply.  While we want experienced judges taking the lead during this event, we also want new judges to be able to gain experience at a Competitive REL event.
