GP Ottawa-Gatineau Judge Conference

Greetings!

We are happy to announce the GP Ottawa-Gatineau judge conference is open for applications! We are looking for attendees, and for quality presenters. If you are interested in either, please apply below. If you are interested in presenting, there is an additional form to fill out here:

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Slots for attendance at this conference are *very* limited – so please be sure to indicate in your cover letter not only how this conference would benefit your own personal growth in the program, but also the benefit for your local community.

If you are interested in presenting – please fill out the form link above. We are interested in a brief abstract of your presentation, and what type of impact you hope to achieve! Additionally, because of the more academic setting and smaller 'class sizes', we would love to hear your ideas on how to take advantage of a more interactive and intimate setting. Perhaps some role play scenarios – or even a guided discussion topic!

If you are interested in presenting, but don't have a particular topic in mind that's okay – simply indicate that in your form submission.

To get your creative juices flowing, here are some potential topics:

• Upcoming changes to the judge program in 2015 (foils, L2 requirements, etc.)

• How to run the Deck Check team

• In-depth rules topic suitable for L1-L2 discussion (interaction of replacement effects, layers, etc.)

• In-depth policy topic for L3+ discussion

• “Would you rewind this?”

• How to give quality feedback

• JUDGE! Role play scenarios for newer judges

• Trivia!

Applications are accepted until September 21, so take some time to develop your ideas and give us the best pitch you can!
