Grand Prix - Manila 2015

Hello Judges!

The application window for Grand Prix - Manila 2015 is now open. This GP will be on 03-04 January 2015, with grinders and other public events on Friday, 02 January 2015. Format for this GP is Standard Constructed. There will also be a Judge Conference on Friday, 02 January 2014 [event will open for application soon]. Please note that if you are working on Friday you will not be able to attend the conference as it is in a different venue. Applications will close on 28-Sept 2014 and the target is to announce selections by mid-October at the latest. We are working on doing some early acceptances for judges and will announce the first wave of acceptances by end September.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY AS DETAILS FOR THIS EVENT ARE DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS EVENTS

To apply, please click on the 'Apply Now' link. There are two application options: Room Sponsorship and Standby. Please select all options that you would be willing to accept.

• All judges should select Room Sponsorship.

• Select Standby if you're willing to be a Standby Judge in the event you are not accepted with Room Sponsorship, or if you prefer not to judge but are willing to be called up if required.

Judges accepted on Standby will only be called upon to work if GP attendance exceeds projected numbers. If not called upon, Standby judges will be given free entry to the GP. Standby judges who are called upon to work will receive the same benefits as judges with Room Sponsorship.

All judges must work on Saturday and Sunday. We will also be requiring some judges to work Friday, please indicate if you're interested.

Please remember that appropriate judge attire will be required: black judge shirt, black trousers/pants with a belt, and black shoes. If you do not have a judge shirt, please indicate this including size so one can be arranged for you.

JUDGE COMPENSATION

All judges will receive:

1. Hotel accommodation starting from the night before you start work and checking out on Monday, 05-January 2015
2. Daily meal allowance
3. GP Manila playmat
4. Limited edition playmat with specially commissioned art by Johannes Voss
5. Judge Dinner on Saturday night

In addition, judge compensation will be based on your level as follows:

L1 judge: 1 booster display / day worked

L2 judge: 1.5 booster displays / day worked + USD150 [note: cash amount is NOT per day]

L3+ judge: 2 booster displays / day worked + USD300 [note: cash amount is NOT per day]

Judges traveling to this event from outside of the Philippines will also receive 1 extra booster display due to increased travel costs during the New Year period.
