Event Information
Sentry Box presents the final tournament in the inaugural season of its Player of the Year series! It is a Competitive REL mixed format tournament, with players battling in Standard and Modern constructed formats during Swiss rounds culminating in a Top 8 KTK draft. Only players who qualified in one of the prior PotY tournaments are invited to compete in the Finals. It's looking like we'll be running 8 rounds regardless of turnout.
If accepted, judges will receive at minimum the following compensation:
- L1 judge: $10 store credit per hour or equivalent product
- L2 judge: $11 store credit per hour or equivalent product
Lunch and beverages will be provided.
Judges will need to be on site no later than 10 am. Successful applicants will be notified on or before Tuesday, September 30th.
In your application, tell me:
- Your recent competitive REL experience and whether you're interested in a particular role at the tournament (i.e. deck checks or scorekeeping)
- One strength and one weakness you have as a judge and how this tournament will help you improve
- Whether you can stay for Top 8 / whether you'd like to be released some time before Top 8 (say ~5 pm)
- Which is more skill-testing for players and why: Constructed or Limited?
- Any other comments or requests you may have
Thanks for your interest in the PotY tournament. Let's make it a sweet one.
