Event Information

West Texas Cards and Games will be hosting a Star City Games Invitational Qualifier and Grand Prix Tiral on October 4th, 2014.  Below, you'll find all the information you'll need to attend our event. We look forward to working with you!

EXPECTATIONS

Judges volunteering for this event are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents, each of which can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center. Judges are also expected to behave in a professional manner at all times, as representatives of West Texas Cards and Games and the Magic Judge program. This includes arriving on time, and in appropriate attire. 

Judges should arrive no later than 9:00am on the day of the event and are expected to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds. If you must arrive later than 9:00am or may have to leave before the conclusion of the Swiss rounds (to catch a ride, for instance), please note that in your application.

The dress code for judges at this event is an official judge shirt (black collared shirt if you do not have one), black pants (dress pants are preferred; jeans are acceptable), a belt, and comfortable shoes (both preferably black). Judges should not be in uniform while off-duty, including during breaks and while trading.

COMPENSATION

Product compensation is as follows:

 

Each Judge: 1 Pack Per Player of an In Stock Standard Legal Set (Can convert each pack to $3 store credit)

Grand Prix Trial Head Judge: No Additional Compensation
