Hairy Tarantula Preliminary PTQ for PT Vancouver

Hello Judges! On behalf of Hairy Tarantula I'm proud to announce our first Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifier! This PPTQ will feed Pro Tour Vancouver 2015. We are looking for 1 Head Judge, 3 Floor Judges, and 1 Standby Judge for this event. Please read this listing as it will have details on expectations and compensation.

EXPECTATIONS

Judging is a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of work. Judges are also expected to review the Magic Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, and Infraction Procedure Guide. Judges are expected to arrive at 0830, and stay until at least the end of swiss. Judges are expected to arrive in proper judge attire (Magic Judge shirt or black button-up shirt, black slacks (no jeans please), and comfortable shoes). During breaks, you will be expected to cover or remove your Judge shirt.

This event will also have a side event GPT for Kyoto. If you would like to Head Judge the GPT please note that in your application. If selected to HJ the GPT you will be on a later shift.

COMPENSATION

Our Compensation Unit (CU) is 18 boosters, $50 store credit, or $40 cash. Please mention in your application which you would prefer.

The Head Judge will receive 4 CUs

If selected for 'Full Sponsorship' you will receive 2 CUs

If selected as 'Volunteer' you will receive 1 CU

If selected as 'Standby' you will receive free entry into the event. At the Judge Manager's discretion, you may be activated. If activated, you will receive 2 CUs.

Additionally, lunch will be provided. Please note any dietary restrictions you may have.

Note: we will consider judges for Full Sponsorship or Volunteer BEFORE we will select Standby Judges. If you do not select Standby, we will not consider you for Standby.
