PAX East 2013

On behalf of TJ Collectibles, I am pleased to announce the request for judges for PAX East 2013, occurring March 22–24, 2013!

What is PAX?

PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) is an awesome gathering of gamers of all sorts, and includes a wide variety of Magic events that you can help run. Many of these events are geared toward the more casual crowd and new players, though there are a few competitive-level tournaments as well. It's a ton of fun to help hundreds and hundreds of players in many simultaneous events have a great time playing Magic. See http://east.paxsite.com/ for more information about PAX East as a whole. Staff Needs:

We're looking for judges that can work all three days of PAX East, or just the Friday and Saturday. Shifts on Friday start at times between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and we expect Sunday to end around 8:00 PM. Those who receive room sponsorship will receive a hotel room (shared with another judge) for Friday night and Saturday night. Please be sure to select “Volunteer” when applying if you do not require a hotel room to come, only “Room Sponsorship” if you need a hotel room in order to be able to attend, and both “Volunteer” and “Room Sponsorship” if you are requesting a hotel room but will still attend if you don't receive one. Note that you have a greater chance of being selected if you don’t require a hotel room.

Compensation:

For each day worked, judges will receive their choice of one of:

• A display box (36 boosters) of Return to Ravnica,

• A display box (36 boosters) of Gatecrash, or

• $80

Each judge will receive a daily $20 stipend to cover food or other expenses. A PAX badge for the days you work will also be provided, and you can use it to see rest of PAX during the times you are not working a shift.

Application:
