Pro Tour Qualifier - Dragons of Tarkir

CheckMate Games & Hobbies is proud to host Toledo's own Magic Pro Tour Qualifier! To host an excellent event, we require an excellent staff of Judges.

Judges will be expected to be on-site at 8:00 am the day of the event and can expect to stay until at least 6:00 pm, with a small group staying until around 10:00 pm for the top 8 and wrap-up. Some Judges will assist in running side events. Judges will be expected to wear a Judge shirt if they have one, or a black button-up shirt, with black pants, black belt, and comfortable, black shoes.

This will be a great opportunity to gain experience Head Judging one of Competitive REL side events in addition to Judging at a medium-large Competitive REL event. We will be looking for at least two L2s to act as Head Judges, and one capable L1 who may be looking to complete requirements to level up.

The Main Event will be a Standard PTQ feeding into PT Dragons of Tarkir. There will be two major side events. The first is a Standard PPTQ feeding into the RPTQ in April starting at the end of the Main Event's round two. This will require a L2 to Head Judge. When the PPTQ reaches the end of round two, we will begin our second major side event, a Standard GPT feeding Grand Prix Memphis. This will require a L1 to Head Judge.

 Compensation will consist of a sealed booster box of Magic the Gathering (Khans of Tarkir or voucher for redemption of Fate Reforge upon release), or a $100 gift certificate for Checkmate Games (your choice) per Judge, with an additional unit of compensation for the Head Judges of our main event and two major side events. Food stipend and beverages will be provided.
