SCG Regional Championship -- Raleigh, NC

On behalf of Event Horizon Games, I thank you for your interest in judging at the SCG Winter Regional Championship in Raleigh, North Carolina. Below, you'll find all the information you need in order to apply:

SCG Super IQ
Start Time: 2 PM
Format: Modern
Head Judge: TBD

Sunday
SCG Elite IQ
Start Time: 10 AM (Doors at 8 AM, call time at 9 AM)
Head Judge: TBD

Expectations

Judges are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents. These documents can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center. As representatives of Event Horizon Games and the Magic Judge Program, judges are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times. This includes arriving on time, and in appropriate attire.

Compensation

Compensation at the Regional Championship is based on judge certification level and is paid in Compensation Units (CU).

• Level 1 Judges will receive 1.5 CU/day staffed.
• Level 2 Judges will receive 2 CU/day staffed.
• Level 3+ Judges will receive 2.5 CU/day staffed.

Each CU can be redeemed for one of the following:

• 1 box of any Standard Set
• $75 (Requires a completed United States tax form)
• $100 in Event Horizon Games store credit.

All judges will also receive a Regionals playmat!

If your judge level is not currently correct on JudgeApps when you apply please mention this in your application.

Due to staff needs, some judges may be accepted for only one or two days. If you need to be on staff for all requested days in order to attend this event, please mention this in your application.
