The Coliseum PPTQ Vancouver

Hello everyone!

On behalf of Alex Morrill and The Coliseum Games & Hobbies, I wish to solicit staff for a PPTQ Vancouver with a large Modern side event.

The PTQ Head Judge is Timothy Gagne.

We are looking for 3 floor judges, one of which will head judge the Modern side event, and 2 standby judges.

The compensation for this event will be the choice of $80 cash or $100 store credit or 1 box of Fate Reforged, along with food and drink, for Level 1 and 2 judges and $120 cash or $150 store credit or 1.5 boxes of Fate Reforged, along with food and drink, for Level 3 judges. There are three options when applying for this event: Volunteer, Travel Sponsorship, and Standby.

-   If you are driving from over 50 miles away, you may check the Travel Sponsorship box. Judges chosen for Travel Sponsorship will receive an additional $20, which can be converted to $25 store credit or 9 packs of Fate Reforged.

-   If you wish to apply for standby, meaning you would prefer to play the event but would assist in judging if the event size became large enough, please check the Standby box. Judges who are selected for Standby will have free entry into the PPTQ.

-   If you do not fall into either category above, please select the Volunteer box.

Judges are expected to prepare for the event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents.

Judges are expected to arrive by 8:30 and stay until the end of the swiss rounds. If a judge needs to arrive later than 8:30 or leave before the swiss rounds would end, please include that in your application.

Judges should wear standard Magic Judge attire. This includes an official Magic Judge shirt, black pants or skirt, black belt if necessary, and comfortable black shoes. If a judge does not have an official Magic Judge shirt, they should include that in their application so one can be located if possible for them.

Applications close on January 11, 2015. It is possible that some staff may be selected early due to scheduling concerns.
