Hi, everyone, and thanks for your interest in the Grand Prix Liverpool Judge Conference. Judge conferences are where judges of all levels can come together to teach and to learn, and to have a fun time doing so. They are one of the best opportunities to get good practices and updated information passed amongst the judge community. During this conference, short seminars or workshops focused on one aspect of the judge program will be presented by volunteers.

The Judge Conference is open to everyone, regardless of Judge Level, or whether you are judging at the Grand Prix.  If you are interested in attending, please apply here so that we will have an accurate list of attendees.

We're going to aim to have two parallel tracks of seminars - one set geared towards uncertified and newer Level 1 judges, and another set designed for experienced Level 1 and higher judges. Note that your level does not restrict you from any seminars, you're free to attend whatever you like. Select seminars appropriate for all levels may be held for both groups.

As with other Grand Prix-attached Judge Conferences, certified attendees (at the time of the application close date) will receive a packet of judge foils, as a gift from the Judge Programme for attending, interacting, learning, and teaching. Please be aware that judges who conduct themselves poorly during seminars (i.e. not paying attention; playing games, etc.) or are otherwise disruptive may not receive foils. Presenters are volunteering their time and effort, and we simply ask that you respect that.

Timing
Some introduction from the organisers and detailing the layout of the day will begin at 11:30am. The first set of seminars will start at 12:00pm (noon) and continue on until approximately 6:30 - 7:00pm, in time for the traditional European "bring your own food" judge dinner and a general judge briefing should there be one. There will be plenty of breaks and time to interact with judges from around the world. 

Presenters
As usual, Judge Conferences cannot happen without skilled volunteers offering their time and skills to present seminars and workshops. We are looking for a selection of presenters to educate the attendees on topics that they're passionate about. If that sounds like something you're interested in, please make a note of it in your application.

Please note - we are looking for some distance from the "traditional" list of Judge Conference topics. If you want to talk about something new, present in a unique way, or simply discuss topics that are applicable to judges, but not necessarily about judging, please include that in your application.

Time slots are traditionally just under an hour, but if you believe your topic will require longer or shorter, please let us know.
