2015 Winter PPTQ at At Ease Games

At Ease Games is proud to announce that our first Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifier will be held on February 22, 2015.  We are looking for one Head Judge and one Floor Judge.  Standby opportunities for judges are also available. depending on attendance.  If a Standby Judge is not needed they will be compensated with free entry into the PPTQ. 

Judges need to be on site no later than 10:30 am the day of the event, and can expect to stay until the conclusion of Swiss rounds with some judges staying for the duration of the top 8 matches.

Compensation

Judges will receive 1 booster box of their choice of Khans of Tarkir or Magic 2015 or $10 per hour in store credit.  The Head Judge will receive additional compensation based on attendance.  Lunch will be provided by the tournament organizer.

Expectations

All Judges volunteering for this event should be well prepared and knowledgable about the Magic Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules and the Infraction Procedures.  These documents can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center.  Judges will be acting as representatives of At Ease Games and the Magic Judge Program and should be prepared to act in a professional manner at all times.  Judges are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire.  Judges should stay in uniform while they are working this event.  Judges should arrive at At Ease Games no later than 10:30 AM on the day of the event and should be prepared to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds.  If you must arrive later than 10:30 AM or must leave before the Swiss rounds are concluded, please include that information in your application

Attire

Expected attire is the standard judge uniform of black pants or slacks, black shoes, and a Magic Judge shirt. If you don't have a Magic Judge shirt, a button down black dress shirt is also acceptable.  Judges should not be in uniform while off duty, including during breaks and while trading.
