Empire Central in League City, Tx is soliciting judges for our Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifier on 7 March, 2015. In addition to one floor judge, we will be looking for a  standby judge.

Expectations

All judges selected for this event are expected to arrive at the venue 1 hour before the start of the event (start time 11am). Judges should be familiar with common rules and card interactions in Standard, as well as the most recent versions of the Magic Tournament Rules and the Infraction Procedure Guide. Floor Judges should arrive in uniform ready to work, Standby Judges should arrive ready to play, but should be prepared to change into uniform prior to the start of the event if needed. All judges are expected to be available until the conclusion of the swiss rounds. If you are able to stay for part of top 8, or are unable to meet these expectations, please note this in your application.

The Magic Judge uniform consists of black pants with a black belt, black shoes, and a Magic Judge shirt or a plain black button-down shirt. Also part of your uniform: a red pen, a blue or black pen, a notebook, some device capable of telling time, and a name badge, if you own one.

Compensation

All Floor Judges at this event will receive 1 box of Fate Reforged.  Standby Judge will receive free entry to the event unless they are activated. If activated, they will receive the full compensation of a Floor Judge.

A meal will also be provided for active judges.
