Event Information

Hey Guys,

So I am coming to you today as the TO for the Kublacon Gaming Convention. I am looking for a couple of judges to run events throughout the day. This is a very casual type event, with events ranging from drafts to commander to silly events like weenie hordes (a custom format with a minimium 25 creatures with no p/t greater then 4 combined).

I can't offer the usual compensation of boxes, but if you volunteer for 8 hours (usually 2 events) throughtout the weekend you can get a full weekend pass (Fri - Mon).

 ***************UPDATE****************************************************************************

Explaination on how the Gamemaster system works:

Games are registered in 4 hour blocks, so 4,8,12,etc. Most magic events sit in the 4 hour slot, and most events fit well into it. Constructed events are 3-4 rounds (depending on attendance) and usually go pretty quick. Drafts are 3 rounds plus construction so around 3-4 hours. Events like mini masters, weenie hordes, edh, tend to go 2 hours max. Regardless of how short an event goes you get credit for the 4 hours that the event is scheduled. Also you don't have to run 2 events in a row. Have some free time on Saturday? Cool run an event. Didn't get into the game you wanted and now have a couple of hours to kill? I can have to lead a game. Boom, you have your 2 events and free entry.

I will have a list of events to sign up for up shortly as soon as the schedule has been confirmed.

The way a person gets the credit is that they pay for the con upfront ($40 for the weekend) and as you run events, I fill out a slip saying you ran the events and you can get reimburst for your entry.

Since this is a mostly casual event I am looking for people that have a good, happy attitude. You will be dealing with people age ranging from 9+ including families that use this as a chance to play together. This is not the place to hard ass, but a chance to teach those that will be coming to events in the future. Prizes for events are given in in-con cash that can be used towards a gaming wall and you will be in charge of handing these out to the con goers. Also this is not a judges blacks event, to push the casualness of these events.

As always you can message me on here, or email me at Inari82@gmail.com
