  • Floor Judge - Standby 2 (Activated at 80 players)

*Standby judges will play in the main event for free if they are not activated.

COMPENSATION

Total compensation will be based on attendance. 1/5 (20%) of the entry fees will be added into the compensation pool. The Score Keeper and Floor Judge(s) will recieve 1 Compensation Unit which is equal to the amount in the compensation pool (x) divided by number of judges (y) plus 1 (x/y+1). Compensation will be given in store credit. 

Lunch and beverages will also be included. 

EXPECTATIONS

Judges at the StarCityGames.com Spring State Championships are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents. As representatives of Ready to Play Games, StarCityGames.com and the Magic Judge Program, judges are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times. This includes arriving on time and in appropriate attire. Dress for this event is all back, including a black Magic Judge shirt (the Carolina Magic Judge shirt is acceptible). A plain black button down is acceptible if you don't have a Magic Judge shirt. 

Judges are expected to arrive no later than 9:00 am on Saturday and 9:00 am on Sunday and are expected to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds. If you anticipate being unable to arrive by the call time or needing to leave before 8:00 pm, you must include that information in your application.
