Hairy Tarantula North PPTQ for PT Milwaukee 2015 (with Bonus IQ Prizes!)

Hello Judges! On behalf of Hairy Tarantula North I'm proud to announce our next Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifier! This PPTQ will feed Pro Tour Milwaukee 2015, and is also has StarCityGames.com Invitational Qualifier prizes. The Head Judge will be Seth Black. We are looking for 3 Floor Judges and 1 Standby Judge for this event. Please read this entire listing as it will have details on expectations and compensation.

EXPECTATIONS

Judging is a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of work. Judges are also expected to review the Magic Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, and Infraction Procedure Guide. Judges are expected to arrive at 0900, and stay until at least the end of swiss. Judges are expected to arrive in proper judge attire (Magic Judge shirt or black button-up shirt, black slacks (no jeans please), and comfortable shoes). During breaks, you will be expected to cover or remove your Judge shirt.
This event will have a Side Event Modern GPT for Las Vegas. If you would like to be the Head Judge of the GPT please note that in your application. If selected to HJ the GPT you will be on a later shift.

COMPENSATION

 Our Compensation Unit (CU) is 18 boosters, $50 store credit, or $40 cash. Please mention in your application which you would prefer.

 If selected for 'Full Sponsorship' you will receive 2 CUs. Select this if you are an experienced L1+. If you do not select this you will not be considered for HJ of the Modern GPT.

 If selected as 'Volunteer' you will receive 1 CU. Select this if you are an L0, or a Newer L1 looking to get more Competitive REL experience. You are more likely to be selected as a volunteer.

 If selected as 'Standby' you will receive free entry into the event. At the Judge Manager's discretion, you may be activated. If activated, you will receive 2 CUs. We will only accept certified judges as Standby (no L0s).

 Additionally, lunch will be provided. Please note any dietary restrictions you may have.

 Note: we will consider judges for Full Sponsorship or Volunteer BEFORE we will select Standby Judges. If you do not select Standby, we will not consider you for Standby.

As a bonus, all judges on staff will receive Judge Rewards points, courtesy of StarCityGames.com.
