Regional Judge Conference - South East Asia

Hello Everyone,

In behalf of our RC, Wearn Chong, I am pleased to announce a regional judge conference to be held here in Manila on May 1 and 2. This is open to all certified judges of all levels. The venue is still tentative but would be announced at the end of this March to facilitate payment which will include lodging and food for two days. Please check the forums for more details on this.

Judge conferences represent an opportunity to socialize with judges of all levels, but more importantly they are a wonderful place to teach and and also to learn. Join these two-day fun filled event with friends both old and new, all while hearing seminars and attending workshops designed to strengthen and hone your judging skills. 

This is a standalone conference so you do not need to worry about a GP the following day. Enjoy, learn, teach, relax and have fun.

SEMINARS and VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for a few volunteers who would be willing to present topics in the conference. Please send me your topic, target audience and estimated seminar length so we can schedule all seminars accordingly. The idea is to have 4 seminars on Friday and then at least 2 seminars on Saturday including many other fun and exciting activities in between.

Deadline of application for those who wish to present would be March 10 with selection being published the following day.

JUDGE FOILS

Judge foils would be provided for this conference courtesy of Wizards of the Coast and would be given upon completion of the seminars in Saturday. Please apply to this event to guarantee that there would be allocation of judge foil support for you. Those who do not apply before the deadline but still wish to join the conference may do so but judge foil support would not be guaranteed for you.

Only certified judges are allocated foils. L0 will not receive foils. Any L0 who becomes L1 between now and conference won't get either,

We can conduct L2 testing in the conference as well if in case you have completed your requirements by that time.
