Side Events PT Brussels

Hello judges,

On Saturday April 11th and Sunday April 12th, Outpost Brussels will host the "Pro Tour Brussels side events". This is an event Outpost is organizing and has nothing to do with the Pro Tour itself. It consists of two main events each day and on-demand events. For each day we are looking for:

• A head judge for main event 1
• A head judge for main event 2
• A score keeper
• An on-demand Coordinator
• 3 Spare judges

Compensation

The compensation for this event will follow the outpost compensation chart. This means you recieve:

• 7 euro cash for each round you work
• Free drinks
• 1 free meal if judging for 6 rounds or less, 2 if judging for more
• Travel compensation up to 20 euros

If you are a spare judge and don't need to judge you get free entry into any event that day.

Schedule

Saturday April 11th (planned to end around 23h00):

• 12h00, Super Standard Premium Event (needs 1 HJ, 2 SpJ)
• 15h00, Super Modern Tournament (needs 1 HJ, 1 SpJ)
• 12h30, queue opens for 8 player side-events (needs 1 HJ)

Sunday April 12th (planned to end around 22h00):

• 11h00, 1k Guaranteed Belgian Legacy Cup Trial (needs 1 HJ, 2 SpJ)
• 12h00, Super Team Sealed Trios Premium Event (needs 1 HJ, 1 SpJ)
• 12h30, queue opens for 8 player side-events (needs 1 HJ)

Applications

All events, including the on-demand events are competitive so for Head Judge positions you should be familiar with the IPG and MTR, meaning you are a L2 or very close to reaching L2 status. In fact, this is an interesting opportunity to judge together with other judges and could provide a very good foundation for getting experience and feedback from a lot of different angles. If you are L1 and interested convince me why you deserve a Head Judge position.

If you are interested in the scorekeeping position please mention in your application how experienced you are.

For Spare judge positions, L1 with knowledge of IPG and MTR are required. This is something one can learn in a week, so don't hesitate to apply even if you are inexperienced. If you are interested and willing to study a little we can use your help and we will help you become a better judge.

For any position, you are expected to be present 1 hour before your event starts.

Closing words

This kind of event is quite unique in Belgium and as such offers many things that are otherwise only to be found on a Grand Prix: working in a team of judges on different projects. As mentioned before this is a great chance to learn and get some feedback.
