SE Summer 2015 Judge Conference

Welcome

In cooperation with Cool Stuff Games and Wizards of the Coast, we are pleased to announce the Southeast Regional Judge Conference for July 18th, 2015.

This event will be held at Cool Stuff’s Maitland, FL (really North Orlando), location. This is not to be confused with their other Orlando local location in Winter Park. Please make sure to check addresses correctly.

Judge conferences are a great way for judges of all levels of experience to come together, meet new and old friends, and share their collective experience and knowledge. If you want to learn, teach, or likely do a bit of both in a fun environment surrounded by judges just like yourself, this is the place to be.

Judge conferences are open for everyone, regardless of judge level, experience or location. If you are an L3 visiting from Australia or just a uncertified Judge Candidate hoping to learn more on your first steps into the program, you are more than welcome to share in the experience.

Please make sure to register for the event so that we can have an somewhat accurate headcount for planning purposes.

Scheduling

The Judge Conference will run from 2pm – 7pm, followed by a group Judge Dinner, which is a Florida Tradition you don’t want to miss.

Presentations

Presentations make a conference, and with a large amount of things to discuss and limited space and time, we want to make sure we are talking about things people want to hear about, by people who want to talk about them.

In order for some to learn, some must teach. We are looking for a number of presenters, so if you have a topic you feel you want to discuss, or just want to teach others and haven’t figured out a topic yet , please let us know in your application

Foil Support

Wizards of the Coast is rewarding certified judges at this conference with a selection of judge foils. The number of foils given to each attendee will  be based on the number of seminars attended and the completion of an exit survey.

Only those registered by June 8th will be eligible for foil support. There are no exceptions to this policy
