MomoCon 2015

What is MomoCon?

With 15,000 unique and over 38,000 turnstile attendance in 2014, MomoCon is one of the fastest growing all ages conventions in the country. Fans of Japanese Anime, American Animation, Comics, Video Games, and Tabletop Games come together to celebrate their passion by costuming / cosplay, browsing the huge exhibitors hall, meeting celebrity voice talent, designers, and writers behind their favorite shows, games, and comics and much much more over this 4 day event. Whether you are an anime fan, gamer, comic reader, or just like watching cartoons, all are welcome at MomoCon! This year MomoCon is opening it's doors to all L1+ judges to have free entry into MomoCon. If you are not a judge in Georgia, please e-mail admin@gajudge.com with your judge app's account name and DCI number by May 23 and we will get you in the door! 

Staff Needs

MomoCon is looking for some motivated judges to work our magic events and fill out 105,000 sq ft gaming Exhibit hall! The event will take place over four days, May 28-31, and the work is being split into shifts each day. We'll be running a variety of events: Drafts, Intro deck leagues, FNM, etc. The main event will be a Modern Masters 2015 Sealed event. It will take play on Saturday at 1 PM with Modern Masters 2015 draft firing all weekend.

Thursday

1:30 pm -7:30 pm

7:00 pm - 1:00 am

Friday and Saturday

9:30 am - 3:30 pm

2:30 pm- 8:30 pm

7:30 pm - 1:30 am

Sunday

9:30 am-3:30 pm

1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Compensation

Each L1+ judge will receive 18 boosters of a current standard set per shift, L0s will receive 9 boosters of a current standard set per shift. Judges in the Modern Master's Sealed event will receive a box of a current standard set (36 boosters). Judge who are pulled from the floor to instead work the Sealed event will have their compensation shifted up to a box for that shift. Judges will be provided with food by the convention while they are on shift.  All judges will have a 4 day pass to enjoy all that MomoCon has to offer while not on shift. Judges who work at least 2 shifts will receive a MomoCon waterbottle and volunteer shirt and entry into the MomoCon Volunteer after party Sunday which is open bar (for 21+) and open buffet.

Hotel

MomoCon has partnered with several hotels near the venue at a variety of pricepoints. Our closest hotel, the Omni, is directly connected by indoor walking bridge to the Georgia World Congress Center. All other hotels are within a short walk of the convention center. You can book in any of the hotels, including the host hotel (the Omni), by using our reservation link here. Prices range from $99 to $139, and there is no cost to book now. Nothing will be charged until the week of March 1 for the Westin and Omni, unless you choose the special rate option.
