Level 1 Workshop @ England WCMQ #1

We are trialling a new model of judge learning within the UK: Judge Workshops

This session is open to all L1s in the UK, IRL and SA Region. You do NOT have to be on staff for the WMCQ nor be actively preparing for L2 to apply for the workshop.

The idea of this is for groups of between 4 and 6 judges led by an L2+ to engage in discussion and development pertaining towards good L1 key skills and/or preparation for L2 testing.

We envisage these workshops as a supplement to the more well known Judge conferences in the same fashion that Tutorials supplement University lectures. Therefore by applying and being accepted for these workshops you are required to engage and discuss a variety of issues both personal (regarding your own judge skill set) and community.

Structure:

There will be two separate sessions: The first will be held at 10am and the second at 2pm. Each session will cater for between 4-6 judges and will last between 2-2.5 hours.

Judges chosen to participate in these workshops will be assigned mandatory written prep work* before the workshop that will form the basis of one or more topic discussion.

*Yes, you heard me: you get homework for this workshop!

Compensation:

Each judge that successfully completes the workshop will receive a judge foil gift as thanks.
