ConnectiCon 2013

Hello judges! It's almost time for ConnectiCon 2013!

ConnectiCon is a 3-day multi-genre event held in Hartford, CT each July. This year will be its 11th year, and in recent years Magic has exploded at it, to the point where we'll be bringing on a 12-judge staff this year!

HUNDREDS of side events

Last year's event featured 4 Super IQ's, one Elite IQ, and about 140 8-man side events over the course of the weekend! (We've removed the SCG events this year due to the prerelease)

Compensation

Along with free entry to the convention (we will be doing our best to give judges time to enjoy themselves over the weekend alongside their judge duties), each judge chosen for staff will receive the following:

Up to 3 nights hotel stay at the nearby Ramada Plaza - a 10 minute walk from the convention center with shuttle services.

Breakfast each day - provided at the hotel

1 box per day worked - can be converted to $50 cash or $125 store credit

Judges who are able to arrive Thursday by 9PM to help setup will also be eligible for bonus compensation of 18 packs per level.

For example, a Level 2 judge arrives at 8PM Thursday. He/she would receive hotel accomodations for Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, breakfast at the hotel Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning,their choice of 3 boxes, $150 cash or $375 credit, plus 36 bonus packs.

Note: If you do not need the hotel room, please apply under Volunteer, so that we can get an accurate count for hotel space.

Note 2: Grid Games, a separate store, has been given permission to run midnight prereleases at the attached Marriott hotel Friday night. We are not handling staffing for this event, but it is likely he'll need a couple judges. If you are interested in judging this and are on staff for the convention, we'll try to accomodate you with an afternoon shift Saturday. If you would like to participate in the tournament, we cannot promise any such accomodations but you are welcome to.
