Sealed PPTQ

Thanks for your interest in this event! This is a Sealed Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifier, qualifing for the 2nd Pro Tour of 2016! 

Details:

Registration: 9am registration

Start: 10am

Expected attendance: 30 players

Format: Swiss Sealed Deck event (6x Origins), with a cut to Top 8. Top 8 will be a timed Booster Draft. We will be using the modified play/draw rule, and seatings for top 8 draft will be random.

The Head Judge for this event is Kush Singhal.

Expectations:

Please be there at 8:45-9:00am, in your proper attire, ready to judge. Judge attire is a black button-down dress shirt, black pants/skirt, black belt, and COMFORTABLE black shoes (you’re going to be on your feet all day). If you have a name tag, please wear one. Please bring a red pen, a blue/black pen, and you’ll also find that having a black thick-tip marker-sharpie-thing to be useful. Additionally, please bring your judge notebook, and having a device that can pull up oracle text will also be useful. Please be well hyrated and fed (there's a bagel place nextdoor).

We'll need to build the sealed kits for players. This is for ease of distributing materials to the player, before, during, and after the deck registration portion. The kit is composed of: Zip-Lock baggie, pen, Origins deck checklist, 6x booster packs, and a lifepad. 

Please make sure you're well versed in the IPG and the MTR. Additionally, I'd recommend going over the Origins Release Notes, since they go over the commonly-asked-questions. Please also have 1 SMART Goal (specific, measurable, achievable, results-focused, and time-bound).

Compensation:

Compensation will be 1 booster box of a standard-legal set, and food and drinks will be provided.
