PTQ Theros in Toronto

The Hairy Tarantula North is very honoured to be hosting the summer PTQ here in Toronto!

For this event we are looking for a Head Judge and between 5-7 floor judges.  Although this is a lot for a PTQ, we want to have the event well staffed to watch for cheating and other nastiness.  We also have to set up the tables and chairs at the venue, so many hands can make light work!

When: June 15th, 2013.  8am judge call.

Judges will be compensated in one of three ways:

1 Box of current magic product (please name your set of choice in your application - M13 or RTR Block only)

Some amount of Modern Masters (Probably 9 packs, but I need to confirm with our allocation before I can say for sure.  Please get your applications in early if you wish to take this form of comp, as supply for this form of comp may be limited.)

$110 Store credit at the Hairy Tarantula (this can be saved, spent on cards, board games or anything else in the store.)

Some amount of Judge Foils ($120 SCG Value.  Anything that is in the judge pack from Providence will be available for selection)

Head Judge will receive 2x of these forms of comp, floor judges will receive 1x.

As we are responsible for tear down, any judge who will need to leave before 8pm should say so in their application, and some judges will need to stay until the end of top 8, which could be 10pm or later.

Food will be provided!  Meals, snacks, juice and water.  If you have special dietary restrictions or if there is anything you really dislike, please say so in your application.

Head judge applications will be taken until May 3rd

Judges from out of region who will be travelling far:  please contact me.  Although we don't have much money to help with travel, we also want to encourage out of town judges and cross region communication.  We may be able to help with transit and we could help find you a place to stay either Friday or Saturday nights.  Lets be a community!
