All staff members will receive the following:

 

1x GP Oakland JUDGE Playmat

 

Each Staff member will also receive:

 

L1: $100 + 1 box per day

L2: $200 + 1 box per day

L3: $300 + 1 box per day

 

Saturday Extended Shift

 

In an effort to continue evolving the Grand Prix experience we are seeking out judges who would like to volunteer to work the full nine rounds of the Main Event.  This will allow us to have more stability for the judge staff, create a more consistent experience for players, and offers some of you the opportunity to make more over the course of the weekend.  If you are interested in volunteering for this, please indicate so on your application. The additional compensation for the extended Saturday shift is:

• Confirmed means that you are confirmed to work the event. Staffing needs vary day-by-day, but Friday staffing will be posted shortly after final selections are made. To apply for Confirmed status, please select "Full Sponsorship."
• Standby means that you are not confirmed to work on any day, but that you agree to show up and be "activated" as necessary. You will be included in forum communications, and we may activate you before the event begins. If you are not activated in advance, we encourage you to show up and play.

 

Please apply for all status types you will accept. If you select Standby and Confirmed, we will consider you for Confirmed staff first. If you select Confirmed, but do not select Standby, we will not consider you for Standby.

 

Please note that all staff members are independent contractors and will be required to complete US tax paperwork prior to beginning their shift. 

• All Staff will be required to fill out an I-9 form and be able to present the appropriate documentation in person before they begin working.  You can find the form and the list of documents here.
• US citizens and US residents must complete a W-9. 
• Non-US citizen international residents must complete a W-8BEN.

The I-9 form is only required once; however the remaining paperwork is required for each ChannelFireball Grand Prix, even if you have previously completed these forms for ChannelFireball

 

We have arranged a discounted room block at the Oakland Marriott City Center. The hotel is attached to the convention center! Rates start at $129.99 / Night. Rooms are available for reservation until Friday December 11th or until the room block is fully booked, whichever comes first.
