OGW Prereleases at Board Game Barrister - Greenfield

Good evening, Judges!

Board Game Barrister, LLC is accepting applications to judge our Oath of the Gatewath Prerelease events on the weekend of January 16-17 2016 at our Greenfield store.

There are three possible shifts.

Saturday Daytime

• Date: Saturday, 16 January 2016
• Start time: 10am
• Expected end-time: 5:30pm
• Duties: judge two concurrent Sealed Deck events that run during the daytime
• Event A: deck construction begins at 11am, 5 rounds, no playoff - typical attendance 40-60
• Event B: deck consctruction begins at 1pm, 4 rounds, no playoff - typical attendance 20-30
• Additional requirements: must be familiar with Regular REL and Prerelease events.  Please be familiary with the Release Notes for the set.

Saturday Evening 2HG

• Date: Saturday, 16 January 2016
• Start time: 6pm
• Expected end-time: 10:00pm
• Duties: judge a Two-Headed Giant Sealed Deck event
• Event: deck construction begins at 6:30pm, 3 rounds, no playoff - typical attendance 30-44
• Additional requirements: must be familiar with Regular REL, Prerelease events, and comfortable with Two-Headed Giant.  Please be familiary with the Release Notes for the set.  You may also be required to play in this event if needed to make an even number of teams.

Sunday Daytime

• Date: Sunday, 17 January 2016
• Start time: 11am
• Expected end-time: 5:30pm
• Duties: judge a Sealed Deck event
• Event: deck construction begins at Noon, 5 rounds, no playoff - typical attendance 30-50
• Additional requirements: must be familiar with Regular REL and Prerelease events.  Please be familiary with the Release Notes for the set.

Judge Info

We're looking for 1 judge for this each shift during Prerelease weekend.  Level 1 or higher preferred, although L0's working towards L1 will be considered.  L1s that need to head judge an event with multiple judges should specify this in your application.

Judges should be on-site at the time specified for their shift.  Food and drinks are on the house, with additional compensation in the form of MVP Points (which are great if you are (or become) a regular customer of the Board Game Barrister, and admittedly a touch less-so if you are not).  Amount of MVP Points awarded is based on attendance, and requires membership in our free MVP Club.  Judges also earn BGB Judge Points towards our Judge Champion program for judges who regularly work our events.

Standby Judges who are not required to judge will receive admission to the event of their choice.  Standby judges must still report on-site at the time specified for their standby shift.
