Your Head Judge for this event will be Alfonso Bueno, Level 4 judge from Madrid, Spain.

 

GP event are mainly open for L2+ judges; A limit number of L1 judges who are working toward L2 are also welcome to apply, but we’ll need you to provide us your L2+ mentor’s name for reference.

 

Available options this time is a little different and more complicated than before, so please make sure you fully understand all the options.

 

Judges can apply for “1-Day (Saturday Only)”, “2-Day A (Friday and Saturday)”, “2-Day B (Saturday and Sunday” or “3-Day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)”. You can make multiple choices, but only the options you applied for will be taken into consideration.

 

e.g. You applied for only “3-Day”, then if we already have enough judges for 3 days, your application will be rejected. Please take this into consideration.

 

Working hours (just for reference, the time table will be then announced by the Head Judge):

 

Friday：09：00〜17：00 / 12：00〜20：00

Saturday：08：00〜18：00 / 12：00〜22：00

Sunday：08：30〜18：00 / 12：30〜22：00

 

Judges can apply for “Room Sponsorship”, “Volunteer”, and “Standby". You can make multiple choices, but only the options you applied for will be taken into consideration.

 

e.g. You only applied for “Room sponsorship”, then if we already provide all the room sponsorship to other judges, your application will be rejected. Please take this into consideration.

 

 

Judges selected for room sponsorship will be provided the room by Panda Events. You’ll share a room with another judge from the night before your working day to your last working day. We’ll only be providing a limited number room sponsorship to judges based on the past experiences we’ve been working with them.

 

e.g If you are selected for room sponsorship and you’re working from Friday to Sunday, you’ll get the room from Thursday night to Sunday night.

 

If you want to extend your room before / after the event,or would like to share your room with your friends / family, you can exchange 18 packs for them per day per bed.

 

e.g. 

 

1. If you have room sponsorship from Thursday to Sunday, and you want to share your room with your wife, we’ll deduct 72 packs from your compensation.

2. If you have room sponsorship from Friday to Sunday, and you want to start staying in the hotel from Wednesday,  we’ll deduct 36 packs from your compensation.

 

 

Judges selected for volunteer will need to take care of their lodging (on their own).

 

 

Judges selected for Standby will be noticed before Friday noon if they’ll need to judge on Saturday. If the standby judges are activated, they’ll be receiving the normal Saturday judge compensation; if they are not, they’ll be able to join the GP main event with our entry fee.

 

All the compensation in packs will be Shadows over Innstrad Simplified Chinese booster packs.

 

Oversea judges may need visa to enter China.

 

L3+: 4 box (144 packs) of SOI per day.

 

All non-mainland China judge will get an extra box as travel sponsorhip.

 

All the judges will get: 

 

- 1 Grand Prix Beijing 2016 playmat.

- Food or a food stipend

 

From Grand Prix Beijing 2016, we’ll start setting a new program, the program’s purpose is to thank all the judges had been working hard and perfectly for Panda Events. The member of the program will be discussed and chose from TO and HJ after each event, those members will be auto-enrolled to all the Panda Events’ events in the future with room sponsorship while they apply for it, and will be receiving an extra box of booster for every Panda Events’ events they join.

This program is for judges to confirm their schedule earlier to get cheaper travel tickets, so we’ll also provide some quota for judges to apply for GP Guangzhou in August now. 

 

If you want to join GP Guangzhou, please check “yes” for the Travel Panda program. If you are selected, you’re confirmed to judge in GP Guangzhou with room sponsorship. The compensation for GP Guangzhou has not been confirmed yet, but basically will be the same with this time.
