Welcome to the Baltimore/Maryland Area's first Judge Gathering. This (hopefully semi-regular) gathering has been created to promote a culture of community and growth.

Note: this is not a judge conference, and there will be no promotional cards given to attendees.

Attending

All judges from the Baltimore /Maryland area are encouraged to attend. Beyond that, any judges from other area of the region, outside the region, and noncertified judges are welcome to attend.

There are space considerations due to the venue, and judges from the Baltimore/Maryland area will be given priority.

The following is tentative and subject to change.

11:00 - Games and Stuff opens

11:20-1:30 - Seminars/discussions

1:30-2:15 - Lunch

2:15-6:00 - Draft/Sealed event

Presenters

We are looking for a handful of judges who are willing to present! As this isn't a typical judge conference, we're looking for 20-30 minute seminars that are more discussion-based, and less lecture-based. Technology is not currently available, so keep this in mind. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to present at a judge conference, but wants to practice on a smaller scale.

Some examples of what we might be looking for include:

• explaining often misunderstood rules
• discussing particular difficult rulings and the philosophies that go with them
• how to perform X/Y/Z in the program/at an event

This list is far from exhaustive, but it gives you an idea if you are unsure.

Testing

Level One testing is available at this judge gathering. Please review the requirements, and complete this form. You will be contacted by the L1 testing coordinator (Ben Harris) closer to the event.

Level Two testing may be available at this judge gathering. Please review the requirements, and you will be contacted by the L2 testing coordinator closer to the event.

Please make a note in your application if you are interested in testing.

Socialize

Games and Stuff will be hosting a draft or sealed event just for us! After lunch, come back and enjoy some Battle for Zendikar block with other judges. The event will likely be 3 or 4 rounds of swiss, with some prize packs as payout. More details will be released closer to the event.
