Event Information
Following on from the success of the first in the Magic Madhouse Pro Series in Manchester we're looking to repeat the excellent work at that event and hopefully grow the event even more. The third event in the Pro Series will be in Birmingham.
Staffing Requirements
We are looking for a small core staff for this event, as well as several capable Standby judges. Remember that Standby sponsorship requires that you attend the event, even if you believe you will not be activated.
For this event we are looking for the following:
CORE STAFF
1x Scorekeeper (DCI Reporter experience strongly preferred)
2x Level 2+ judge
1x Level 1 judge
1x Level 1 or 2 judge
STANDBY STAFF
1x Level 2 judge
3x Level 1 judge
For L1 judges, preference will be for judges who are actively pursuing Level 2. There will also be capacity to take an L2 test at this event. If you are applying as an L1, please mark the box appropriately in your application.
Compensation
Compensation offered is as follows (all displays will be of the most recent expansion):
CORE L2+ / Scorekeeper - 2.5 displays
CORE L1 - 1.5 displays
STANDBY JUDGES - Core compensation if activated; free event entry if not activated
Compensation will be awarded in Magic Madhouse store credit at the rate of £75 per display; please let us know if you would like to collect any specific product on the day and we will endeavour to facilitate this.
Whilst applications close on 19 February, we reserve the right to do early acceptances. It is therefore in your interest to apply early.
Hours of work
There is no on-site registration for this event. Therefore the advertised start time will be strictly followed.
- Judges preferably to arrive at 0830 for 0900 doors-open – please mention in your cover letter if your attendance would depend on a later arrival time as we may be able to accommodate this.
- Judges will be released as and when tournament needs allow – please mention in your cover letter if your attendance would depend on being able to leave by a certain time.
You can see more information on the event here: http://www.magicmadhouse.co.uk/pro-series-march-19th-birmimgham-i72 (yes the URI is spelt wrong, we know).
NB: This event clashes with Grand Prix Paris. Please do not apply if you have an open application for Paris.
