Escapist Expo

Greetings!

 On behalf of Atomic Empire (formerly Sci-fi Genre Comics & Games) and the Escapist, I’m pleased to announce a judge call for Magic at the Escapist Expo!

The Escapist Expo is being held on September 14^th, 15^th, and 16^th in the newly renovated Durham Convention Center in Downtown Durham.  The events start on Friday at 12 noon and will run thru the night Friday night, leading into the main event Saturday and all the way thru to 1am. Sunday the events will start at 11am and run until 6pm.

We are seeking volunteers for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to judge the main events, side events, and to take turns in the “Learn to play Magic” booth.

Saturday’s Main Event is the only Competitive REL event of the weekend, as the main prize is a NM Mox Sapphire.

Compensation:

Judges volunteering for the Expo will receive: 1 box of product per day worked and Lunch/Dinner or a meal Stipend per day.

Uniforms:

Judges will be given a special T-shirt denoting them as part of the Expo to be worn while judging. This shirt will be yours to keep after the Expo. Judges will be expected to be in black pants and comfortable shoes. If you have a nametag, please bring it.

There is no hotel or sponsorship option for the event. If accepted a list of nearby hotels can be given. additionally, there is hotel information listed on the Escapist Expo website where the Escapist has gotten deals for blocks of hotel rooms.
