Galactic Treasures/Card House Houston 1K

On behalf of Galactic Treasures and Card House, we are excited to host their 1k Tournament.

Applications: At this time the TO and I will select 1 standby judge for this event.  These events are great opportunities to gain some useful experience with Competitive REL events.  Regardless of your experience, you are encouraged to apply as this event will be a great experience.  The Standby Judge will be activated once we reach 50 players.

Compensation if activated: 1 box of Oath of the Gatewatch.  If the Standby Judge is not activated you will receive free entry to the event.

Lunch will also be provided. 

Event time: 9am Registration, 10am Start.  Judges report at 8:30am

EXPECTATIONS

Judges volunteering for this event are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, and Infraction Procedure Guide. each of which can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center. Judges are also expected to behave in a professional manner at all times, as representatives of Galactic Treasures/Card House and the Magic Judge program. This includes arriving on time, and in appropriate attire. 

Judges are expected to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds. 

The dress code for judges at this event is an official judge shirt (black collared shirt if you do not have one), black pants (dress pants), a belt, and comfortable shoes (both preferably black). Judges should not be in uniform while off-duty, including during breaks and while trading.

Applications close Monday February 29th. Applicants will be reviewed with the TO and announced as soon as possible.
