TRAVEL

Travel expenses will not normally be covered, but if you are considering this event and coming from a more significant distance (North Bay, Sacramento, etc), email joshsilvestri@channelfireball.com with details and we can explore options. 

EXPECTATIONS

We are looking for two to four additional judges depending on attendance of the event. Standbys will be activated at the 110 and 150 player marks or TO's discretion. 

Judges at the event are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents. These documents can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center. As representatives of ChannelFireball.com and the Magic Judge Program, judges are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times. This includes arriving on time and in appropriate attire. 

Judges are expected to arrive no later than 10:30 am and are expected to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds. If you anticipate being unable to arrive by 10:30 am or needing to leave before 7:30 pm please include that information in your application.

Judges should arrive a Judge shirt, dark color pants / jeans, black belt, and comfortable shoes. During breaks, or any other time that a judge is off duty, judges should remove, or cover, their Judge shirt. If you do not have a judge shirt, please note that in your application.

COMPENSATION

Lunch will be provided / comped. Every judge who works a full shift (Beginning to end of swiss rounds) will recieve one compensation unit.

Standby judges that are not picked up will have free entry into the event.

Due to staff needs, some judges may be accepted on standby.

Please note that late applications will be considered at a lower priority than those received during the official application window.
