Welcome!

Due to higher than expected registration numbers, we are looking for additional judges to work with us at Grand Prix Washington DC. We are primarily looking for Level 2 judges who are available on Saturday to assist with the main event, and a limited number of judges for Friday and Sunday.

Expectations

Judges at Grand Prix Washington DC are expected to prepare for the event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents. These documents can be found at the Magic: The Gathering Document Center. As representatives of StarCityGames.com and the Magic Judge Program, judges are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times. Judges are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire to begin judging at the start of their assigned shifts. The Head Judge will be arranging main event shifts for Saturday and Sunday and StarCityGames.com will assign side event shifts including all Friday schedules.

Judges at Grand Prix Washington DC should dress in Magic Judge Program attire including Official Magic Judge shirt, black pants, black belt, and comfortable black shoes. During breaks, or any other time that a judge is off duty, judges should remove, or cover, their Judge shirt. Once staff has been selected, there will be a forum thread posted with a way to request Magic Judge shirts.

Compensation

All Judges will receive one month of StarCityGames.com Premium, StarCityGames.com Judge Rewards items, exclusive Grand Prix Washington DC items, and the following Compensation Units (CUs) determined by their level:

• Local (Level 1) judges will receive two (2) CUs for each full day on staff.
• Area (Level 2) judges will receive three and a half (3.5) CUs for each full day on staff.
• Regional (Level 3), International (Level 4), and Professional (Level 5) judges will receive five (5) CUs for each full day on staff.

All judges will receive a $20 cash meal stipend per day on staff.

Due to staff needs, judges may be accepted for one, two or three days.

The application window for Grand Prix Washington DC Supplemental Staff will close at 11:59 PM Eastern time on February 28, 2016. Due to the nature of this event, NO late applications will be accepted.

Grand Prix Washington DC Supplemental Staff will be announced on, or before, March 2, 2016.
