Event Information
*Welcome - (as some of how staff will be compensated is different from most other events, it is highly recommended that you read through the following information in its entirety.)
Applications for judge staff for GP Oklahoma City the weekend of October 4th-6th are now open. This event will be at the Cox Communications Center.
http://www.coxconventioncenter.com
The main event is Theros Limited (the first Theros limited GP!) and the head judge will be Jason Lemahieu.
*Application dates / process
Applications are open now and will close on Friday, August 2nd. Staffing will be announced as soon as we can after the application window has closed.
*Compensation
All certified judges selected for staff will receive compensation in the form of cash, MTG product and judge foils.
An L1 will receive $85 per day for Sat and Sun, an L2 will get $95 per day for Sat and Sun and an L3 will get $105 per day for Sat and Sun.
Judges that are selected to work on Friday will receive additional pay, but at a lightly lower rate due to the shorter shift. An L1 will receive $75 for working Friday, an L2 will get $85 for working Friday and an L3 will get $95 for working Friday. Include in your application if you will be available to work on Friday. Grinders and other side events will start at 2PM on Friday, so judges interested in working the early shift on Friday would have to be on site at 1 PM. A later shift would likely start around 5 PM.
All judges are expected to be available to work until 7 PM on Sunday. Judges that work past 8 PM on Sunday will receive an additional $20, but will be expected to work until 10 PM. Include in your application if you will be available to work past 8 PM on Sunday.
Some examples; An L2 that works just Sat. and Sun. will receive $190. ($95 x 2)
An L2 that works Fri., Sat. and Sun. will receive $275. (($95 x 2) + $85)
An L2 that works just Sat. and Sun. and stays until 10 PM on Sunday will receive $210.
(($95 x 2) +$20)
An L2 that works Fri., Sat. and Sun. and stays until 10 PM on Sunday will receive $295. (($95 x 2) + $85 +$20)
Additional accommodations regarding days worked and leave times may be arranged on an individual basis. Please list any special requests you have in your application.
Judges will have to complete appropriate tax forms on site before receiving any payment. This applies to all judges that are accepted to work this event. This compensation is expected to cover your expenses for the event including hotel and per diems.

---Foils
All certified judges working at least two days will receive packets of judge foils equal to their certification level.

*Certification testing
We will be offering L1 and L2 certification. If you are an L1 and interested in testing for L2 at this event make sure to include the following information in your application:
-How long you have been a L1 judge?
-Who tested you and at what event?
-What events you have worked? (It does not need to be complete, just a few for examples)
-Some other judges you have worked with.
If you know of anyone that is L0 and interested in testing for L1 at this GP, please have them email me at judge@legionevents.com. We will still accept ‘walk ups’ but getting information from interested judge candidates beforehand would be useful.
*Info needed in application
-Which days you are available to work. (Most judges will be expected to work Saturday and Sunday, we will need a few for the Grinders that start on Friday. Also be sure to note if you can work later on Sunday evening.)
-If you wish to test for L2 (be sure to include information requested in the above section)
-Any special requests or needs, comments or concerns.
