Event Information
More Fun Game Center in Denton is looking for a standby judge for Sunday's SCG Modern State Championship. Standby judge will be activated at 100 players, and will otherwise play in the event for free.
**The Saturday Standard State Championship has a separate application.**
Expectations:
- Come to the event in judge attire (black pants, black shirt (or new USA South Judge shirt), blacks shoes if able) ready to judge if needed. A change of clothes in case you get to play is a good idea, too.
- Bring a modern legal deck to play in the event for free if not needed to judge.
- Current knowledge of the updated IPG, Comprehensive Rules, and Magic Tournament Rules.
- If you have not uploaded a photo of yourself to Judge Apps, your application is not likely to be accepted.
- Arrive by 9:00 am to assist with setup, if needed. Event starts at 10:00.
Compensation:
- Level 1 judge: 1 box of current product (or $85)
- Level 2 judge: 2 boxes of current product (or $170)
- Meals and drinks covered
- Or, if not called on to judge, free play in the event. Standby judge will be activated at 100 players.
Communication:
- Judges will be chosen by Wednesday, April 20th and will be contacted by e-mail.
