WMCQ I - Regran Toys and Collectibles - Philippines

This is the judge application for the first WMCQ for 2016 hosted by Regran Toys and Collectibles

The date of the event is June 18-19, 2016. 

The event would be Standard Constructed.

You would be working for one day unless you are chosen to judge in the Last Chance Qualifier on Friday, June 17, 2016 to be held in Regran Hobby Shop in Ortigas.

We are looking to get a total of 10 judges for this event as the TO expects the event to reach 500+ players as it is only the Standard WMCQ this year.

Head Judge

The Head Judge of the event is Philip Peña.

Expectations

Judges should be familiar with the updated Comprehensive Rules and the Magic Infraction Penalty Guidelines document

Judges are expected to work the entire day doing the following activities among others.

- Answering rules/policy questions

- Posting pairings, distributing result slips

- Arranging tables and chairs. 

- Assisting with end of round procedures

- Helping with Side Events if needed

Food

Lunch and Dinner would be provided by the organizer. Water will also be provided for judges.

Compensation

Head Judge - Php 800.00 for both days

Floor Judge - Php 600.00 / day

All judges will also receive a judge shirt from the TO.  

Judges would also receive SOI booster packs. 

Booster packs would be equivalent to the number of players who registered in the event in excess of 200 divided among all judges rounded up.

It is likely that the SOI boosters would be converted into cash.

Example: 

If there are 8 judges in the event and 350 players registered in the event, each judge would get 19 boosters of SOI (150/8) plus the monetary compensation and the judge shirt.

Judge Shirt

We will be using the black judge shirt with black pants and black shoes for this event. If you do not have a judge shirt, you can wear the shirt that the TO will be providing.
