Beginning Phase

Thank you for your interest in Black Lion Games' Standard PPTQ. The winner of this Constructed event will qualify for the Regional PTQs. I'm looking for one (1) floor judge and one (1) standby judge for this event. Floor judge applicants must be a L1 judge working actively towards L2 and confident in their Comp Rules and IPG knowledge, or an L2+. All applicants should detail their recent Competitive REL experience in their cover letter, as well as their strengths and areas of improvement.

Upkeep Step

The compensation for this event will be half (½) a booster box for the floor judge. If the standby judge is activated, compensation will also be half (½) a booster box; otherwise, they will receive free entry into the event. You can apply for either or both roles. Check 'Volunteer' for the Floor Judge position and/or 'Standby' for the Standby Judge position.

Precombat Main Phase

Judges are expected to be on-site an hour before the main event (time TBC). One judge will be expected to stay until the beginning of the semifinals as the earliest. If you have any restrictions on how early or late you are able to arrive or stay, please state this in your application.

Postcombat Main Phase

There are testing opportunities for Level 1 at this event, but only by prior arrangement. If you would like to test for Level 1, or know someone who may be interested, contact me on Facebook or by email (fkfeth@gmail.com).
