TOP European Series Amsterdam - SCG Invitational Qualifier

Introduction

Thank you for your interest in joining us at the TOP European Series - SCG Invitational Qualifier in Amsterdam!

We are looking for floor judges and a scorekeeper for the tournament. We are mainly looking for L2+ judges, but L1 judges familiar with competitive REL policy may also be selected. Please use the cover letter to describe your previous experience with competitive events.

The tournament will be unsanctioned.

If applying as a floor judge, you may apply for any combination of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Being flexible with the days that you are available for increases your chance of being selected for the event. You may also chose to apply as a standby judge. If you are selected as standby, you will be expected to show up and play in a tournament of your choice for free if you are not activated.

If you wish to apply for the scorekeeper position, you need to be available for all 3 days.

Schedule

The schedule for events on the weekend is as follows:

Friday, 24.6. - judge meeting at 12:00

Registrations start 13:00
Big trial - Legacy 16:00
Big trial - Modern 16:15
Big trial - Standard 16:30
Big trial - Vintage 16:45
Side event - Commander 17:00

Saturday, 25.6. - judge meeting at 8:00

Registrations start 9:00
Main event - Legacy 10:30
Main event - Standard 11:00
Side event - Old School 12:00

Sunday 26.6. - judge meeting at 8:00

Registrations start 9:00
Main event - Modern 10:30
Main event - Vintage 11:00
Side event - Commander 12:00

In addition, on-demand side events will be run on all 3 days, and on-demand trials will be run on Friday and Saturday.

Compensation

For floor judges, the compensation is as follows:
Friday: 40€
Saturday: 80 € + an additional 20€ if the total turnout of the 4 main events is over 500 players
Sunday: 80 € + an additional 20€ if the total turnout of the 4 main events is over 500 players

Standby judges that are not activated will receive free entry in one constructed event of their choice each day, including the main events and big trials. Standby judges that are activated will receive standard compensation for that day.

For the scorekeeper, the compensation is 250€ + an additional 50€ if the total turnout of the 4 main events is over 500 players

In addition, judges will receive 1 SCG token for each day worked, and all judges that work at least 1 day will receive an SCG playmat and 1 month of SCG premium access.
