Welcome Judges!

Kirwan’s Game Store is looking for judges interested in judging at the $5K Dublin Modern PPTQ in Albany, NY. We need highly motivated judge staff that will make this  a great event! This event is a competitive REL event and modern format with multiple formats as side events as well. The main event is capped at 350 players with some room set aside for side events. We will have an artist and one additional vendor on site for all of our players needs throughout the weekend.

Compensation

All judges who are selected for this event will receive two Kirwan’s Game Store Judge tokens. 

All level 1 Judges will receive $80 in compensation as well as $20 to serve as a food/travel stipend.

All level 2 Judges will receive $100 in compensation as well as $20 to serve as a food/travel stipend

Any level 3 Judges who wish to apply, please contact about compensation. 

Lodging and Travel

The event is being hosted at the Radisson hotel and is extremely close to the Albany International Airport. 

If you are wanting to apply for this event and are unable to attend due to travel reasons, please mention this in an application. In a case by case basic we will grant an additional travel stipend.

Dress Code

Dress code includes black dress pants, a belt, a judge shirt, and comfortable shoes. Judges who do not have judge shirts will be offered a Kirwan's Game Store Judge polo. If it is difficult for you to assemble this outfit, please note it in your cover letter so we will have time to gather you a polo. Please include what size you would need. The polo’s run slightly small so please take that into consideration. 

Additional information

We are looking for judges for two events this weekend. On Saturday we are hosting StarCityGames.com SCG Regionals. We will look at applications that are available for both days. Please note this in your application if you wish to be staffed for both. Also, please apply for the second event (here) as well, even if you mention it in this application. 

Doors will open at 8:00AM and registration will end at 10:00AM. Judges are expected to arrive by 9:00AM for judge call. 

If you wish to be considered for a standby judge, please check that in your application. Any judge who is on stand by and is not activated will receive free entry into the event as a thank you for your consideration. Any judge who selects to be on standby should already be attending the event, regardless of activation or not.
