Michigan Mini-Conference

I am very pleased to announce the next Michigan Judge Mini-Conference of 2016, hosted in Lansing, MI. This mini-conference is capped at 16 attendees and has a very specific focus, so please read all the details below and decide if this event is for you.

What is this Mini-Conference about?

This gathering will be specifically about the Level 1 to Level 2 advancment process. Attendees should expect to learn and help demonstrate the qualities of a Level 2 judge in an effort to someday advance to Level 2.

Who can attend?

This mini-conference is open to any Level 1 who desires to learn more about judging at competitive REL and desires to learn more about reaching Level 2. Be prepared to get involved with interactive presentations focused on competitive judging, community involvement, and mentoring.

Where/When is it?
This mini-conference will be hosted at Hollow Mountain Comics and Games in Lansing, MI on Saturday, August 13th at Noon. Attendees can expect to receive a thank you gift for attending all day.

What will we be doing?
The schedule is subject to change, but should go something like this:
-12:00-1:00: Icebreaker draft
-1:10-2:00: Road to L2
-2:10-3:00: Head Judge Skills
-3:10-4:00: The Art of Mentoring
-4:10-5:00: Community Involvement/Open Questions
